About this opportunity

About Hilo by Aktiia

High blood pressure is the world’s most common disease, causing 18M deaths each year. At Hilo by Aktiia, we’re building a world where no lives are lost to its effects — with technology that helps people take control of their health.

We’re a venture-backed scale-up with $96M raised from investors in Europe and the US. Rooted in 18 years of research at the Swiss Center for Electronics and Microtechnology (CSEM), our device is the world’s only medically accurate, cuffless, continuous blood pressure monitor for daily use — clinically validated and CE Marked as a Class IIa medical device, now available in 12 countries. In July, we launched in the US.

We’re a remote-first company headquartered in Neuchâtel, Switzerland, united by our passion for impact and innovation. Applicants must already hold a valid visa or work permit for their country of residence, as Hilo is not able to provide visa sponsorship.

Role overview

As Performance Marketing Manager – Paid Social, you will own Hilo’s paid social strategy and performance across our key markets and prepare the channel for Hilo’s next stage of growth. Creative strategy is a core driver of paid social performance: You turn customer insight and campaign data into compelling concepts, run a rigorous testing program and work with creative partners to bring the strongest ideas to market.

You connect that work to measurable business outcomes, improving conversion and return on investment while making sure every health claim is accurate and approved.

Reporting to the Head of Performance Marketing, you will play a key role in our performance marketing team, working with internal teams and external partners to drive growth.

Work location: Our company operates on a remote-first model. This role can be performed remotely from anywhere in Europe. Fluent English and German are a must. Occasional travel to our office in Neuchâtel, Switzerland, or to team events may be required.

Core responsibilities

  • Lead paid social strategy, planning and execution across the US, UK, Germany and other growth markets.
  • Develop creative hypotheses based on customer research, market differences and performance data.
  • Brief, test and refine ad concepts, messages, formats and landing pages in partnership with creative and product teams.
  • Manage campaign budgets, audiences and optimisation across Meta, TikTok and other relevant platforms.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the customer journey and conversion rate, from ad click through to purchase.
  • Measure performance against acquisition cost, revenue and return on investment and turn findings into clear decisions and next steps.
  • Work with clinical, regulatory and legal colleagues to ensure advertising claims and health messaging are accurate and approved.
  • Steer agencies and freelancers, set clear priorities and ensure high-quality execution and continuous performance improvement.

Requirements

Background & Experience

  • At least 5 years of hands-on paid social experience in an international setting, including direct ownership of campaigns and budgets.
  • Strong creative strategy skills and a track record of turning insights into ads that perform.
  • A data-driven approach to testing, measurement, and decision-making.
  • Experience improving conversion rates and managing campaigns against ROI goals.
  • Deep knowledge of Meta Ads Manager and experience with other relevant social platforms.
  • Ability to adapt messaging and execution across markets while keeping the brand consistent.
  • Clear communication and sound judgment when working with sensitive health topics.
  • Nice to have: experience in health tech, medical devices, wearables, or subscription products.
