Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Commis to join our culinary team in Swissotel Corniche Park Towers Doha, Qatar. As a Kitchen Commis , you will play a crucial role in supporting our kitchen operations and assisting in the preparation of high-quality dishes.
- Assist in food preparation, including washing, peeling, chopping, and cutting ingredients
- Follow recipes and cooking instructions as directed by senior kitchen staff
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards
- Properly store and label food items, ensuring freshness and quality
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of kitchen stations
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment and utensils
- Support other kitchen staff as needed during busy periods
- Participate in kitchen inventory and restocking activities
- Learn and adapt to new culinary techniques and recipes
Qualifications
- Culinary or hospitality education/certification is an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations.
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and develop culinary skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Previous kitchen experience is an advantage.
