As a Barista, you’re not just preparing and serving drinks – you’re spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences that make the stay for every guest.

Responsibilities

Here’s what you’ll do during a typical day:

• –    Provides quality beverages, whole bean, and food products consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards. Follow health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products. 
  –    Follow Waldorf Astoria operational policies and procedures, including those for cash handling, security and health and safety to ensure the safety of self, customers and colleagues at all times.
  –     Presents oneself professionally to ensure adherence to health and safety rules and quality operations standards. 
  –    To rotate stock, ensuring food and beverage products are used prior to the best before date and that wastage is minimised 
  –    Replenish beverages as necessary and check with guests for over all satisfaction.
  –    Ensure knowledge of menu and all products 
  –    Must have a full knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, guest relation and etiquette
  –    Ability to remember, recite and promote the variety of menu items.
  –    Ability to transport large trays weighing up to 40 lbs, through crowded room on a continuous basis throughout the shift.
  –    Ability to operate a keyboard and learn Point of Sale procedures to pre-check order and close out the check.
  –    Check stations before, during and after shift for proper set-up and cleanliness.
  –    Follow correct reporting procedures if faced with issues 
  –    Ensure Food and Beverage orders are of a consistently good standard and delivered in a timely manner 
  –    Monitor the quality food and beverage being served on the table.
  –    Practice Hilton Grooming standards including uniform dress code, cleanliness and personal hygiene 
  –    Comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation
