Job Description

Development is the largest discipline at Endava. Our developers design, build, and release software products in multiple programming languages, frameworks, and libraries. Always collaborating with cross-functional project teams, our developers are adaptable problem-solvers with a client-oriented mindset.  

As a Senior Go Developer at Endava, you will have the following responsibilities:

• Developing and testing solutions in Go based on given requirements
• Estimating tasks and participating in daily team sync-ups
• Participating in code reviews
• Daily communication with the client through emails, phone sync-ups etc.
• Collaborating with the QA engineering team to ensure the delivered code meets the defined standards.

Qualifications

• Experience with the latest Go versions (7+ years);
• Strong understanding of Go fundamentals, concurrency model (goroutines, channels), memory management, and performance tuning;
• Solid knowledge of software engineering principles, design patterns, and clean code practices;
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. Azure, AWS);
• Knowledge of web protocols and technologies, including RESTful APIs and HTTP/HTTPS;
• Experience designing and developing RESTful and event-driven services in Go;
• Experience with source code versioning systems (Perforce, Git, SVN);
• Good verbal and written English;
• Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases;
• Strong experience with Microservices architecture and distributed systems;
• Solid understanding of the complete product development lifecycle;
• Strong analytical skills, systematic approach, and ability to work independently;
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies;
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes;
• Experience with Go frameworks and libraries (e.g. Gin, Echo, Fiber, gRPC).
