Main Duties:
The selected technician may be responsible for a range of fiber optic and telecommunications activities, including:
Installing and maintaining fiber optic cable systems.
Performing fiber splicing, termination, and cable preparation.
Conducting OTDR and other fiber optic tests.
Diagnosing faults and resolving connectivity or transmission problems.
Carrying out cable routing and installation work at project sites.
Operating fiber optic tools and testing equipment correctly.
Inspecting completed work to ensure it meets project requirements.
Following approved work procedures, safety rules, and site standards.
Recording test results and maintaining relevant technical documentation.
Working closely with supervisors, engineers, and other site teams.
Completing assigned tasks safely, accurately, and within the required schedule.
Candidate Requirements:
Applicants should have:
Previous hands-on experience as a Fiber Optic Technician.
Valid ARAMCO approval relevant to the position.
Practical experience in fiber optic installation and maintenance.
Good knowledge of fiber splicing and testing procedures.
Familiarity with fiber optic tools and test equipment.
The ability to troubleshoot fiber network and transmission faults.
