Azizi Developments is expanding its project team and is looking for a highly experienced HSE Engineer to oversee health, safety, and environmental compliance on major residential and high-rise construction projects across the UAE. This position is best suited for professionals who have built their careers within consultancy or supervision firms and possess a strong understanding of UAE construction safety regulations.
If you have a proven record of driving workplace safety, managing compliance, and supporting large-scale developments from the ground up, this role offers the opportunity to work on some of the country’s most significant residential projects.
Position Summary:
As an HSE Engineer, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and improving health, safety, and environmental systems throughout every stage of construction. Working closely with project managers, consultants, and contractors, you will help maintain a safe working environment while ensuring full compliance with UAE legal requirements and company safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and monitor HSE procedures across all phases of construction.
Ensure projects comply with UAE health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Conduct routine site inspections, safety audits, hazard identification, and risk assessments.
Monitor safety performance from piling works through final project handover.
Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective and preventive measures.
Organize HSE training sessions, toolbox talks, and awareness programs to strengthen safety culture.
Maintain accurate safety records, inspection reports, and regulatory documentation.
Collaborate with project teams, consultants, and contractors to continuously improve site safety performance.
Candidate Requirements:
To be considered for this position, applicants should meet the following criteria:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
Minimum of 10 years of professional HSE experience.
At least 6 years of construction HSE experience within the UAE.
Previous employment exclusively with consultancy or supervision firms.
Practical experience on high-rise residential buildings of G+20 or higher and large-scale residential developments.
Sound understanding of every construction stage, including:
Piling
Substructure
Superstructure
MEP installation
Finishing works
Strong working knowledge of OSHAD, Dubai Municipality, and Trakhees safety regulations.
NEBOSH IGC, NEBOSH Diploma, or an equivalent internationally recognized HSE qualification.
Excellent leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
